Sonia from EastEnders is one of those celebrities that go on fad diet after fad diet. However in recent times, Robbies little sister seems more contented with her fuller figure.
A few years ago, Natalie Cassidy’s dropped 2½st to reveal a slimline figure that was short lived. After playing Sonia in EastEnders for 12 years, she decided to change her image image. Natalie was 10st 8lb when she started the diet. Her breasts at the time were enlarged from a 36A to a 36D but because of her weight loss, Natalie went down to 32E.
In march 2012, Cassidy said ‘Naturally I’m about a size 14. It’s a real effort to be a 10, but I’d be really disappointed if I put the weight back – I don’t want to be a yo-yo dieter any more. I’d love to be between a 10 and 12 for the rest of my life.’
Cassidy revealed that her weight loss back in 2007 was more about exercise than diet. One thing she did cut down on was alcohol. She also exercised to her DVD five times a week
Cassidy admits that heart disease runs in her family and it’s something that plays on her mind. She said that it motivated her to get fit.
Fast forward to 2102 and Cassidy is looking a little plumper than when she lost all the weight. She has recently hit out at critics who say she’s too fat to be a Health Lottery ambassador. Cassidy’s argument was that you don’t have to be skinny to be healthy.
Natalie landed the role as Health Lottery ambassador in March and as part of her role, she took a zumba class for stroke victims. But many have mad fun of her on twitter, claiming she’s not a very good role model of a healthy person.
She insists she’s not paying attention to the negative comments because she knows she is healthy.
